TDMA Two-Slot Direct Mode (also known as ‘Two Slot Simplex’) – The DMR Digital standard divides a single 12.5Khz Analogue channel into two separate channels, effectively doubling the number of available channels. While Two-Slot operation typically requires a DMR Repeater, Entel DMR radios support this function on both Simplex and DMR446 channels, making both slots available regardless of channel type.
Mixed Mode Operation – In Mixed Mode, the radio can receive both DMR Digital and Analogue signals without changing channels. This is useful when both analogue and Digital radios are used together, such as when transitioning from an existing analogue system to a DMR Digital system.
Keylock – The radio’s keys and controls can be locked to prevent accidental operation.
Programmable Channel Monitor Button – If channel protection is enabled on your DT585U portable, signals from other networks are filtered out. This can be temporarily disabled to monitor all signals on your channel.
Multiple Channel Zones – Entel radios support up to 8 channel zones, with up to 99 channels per zone. These zones can be used to store channels for different sites or user groups.
Individual, Group Calling & Caller ID – The DT585U models offer both Individual and Group calling, which is selectable via the channel control and, on display models, the large contact list. Display models can also show the caller’s ID.
Text Messaging – Using the DMR messaging protocol, Entel radios can send and receive text messages to and from other devices, including alarm panels, PC dispatchers, and other radios.
Programmable Switch-On Logo – Custom logos can be uploaded to Entel display radios to be displayed when the radio is powered on.
All Call – This feature allows the simultaneous calling of all radios on the channel, which is helpful for essential announcements like emergency safety evacuations.

Personal Attack Button – DT585U portables include a programmable personal attack button. When activated, the radio sends an alarm call to other radios and sounds a local alarm.
Lone-Worker & Man-Down Alarms – DTEx radios support Lone-Worker, Man-Down*, and Emergency Button features in Digital mode, with call interrupt. This dealer-programmable, three-level safety system ensures an alarm is raised promptly, even on a busy channel. *Optional.
